Lerma's Birthday
July 16, 2008. It was party time again, and we started the day with a trip in Tivoli with Sarah and Gabriel.
Sarah is very fond of the little yellow tram that tours the garden, and she enjoyed a trip with Lerma. After the trip, we watched the Tivoli Guard parade with the kids dressed as soldiers protecting the little princess.

The Tivoli Gardens are very popular on a summer day, so we had to queue a bit for the rides. Here, a slightly tired Sarah is waiting with Lerma in front of the car track, where you can ride miniature vintage cars through the landscape.
There are only a few rides for the youngest children & Sarah does not want to get anyway close to the more scary ones like roller coasters.

Gabriel was a bit too small for the rides, but he was very happy watching people and activity around him.
He really enjoys getting out of the home and usually insists on sitting up rather than lying down in the stroller - unless he is very sleepy. He wants to watch everything around him.

These are models of cars approximately 100 years old. The track steers the car around the trip, so even the youngest driver can try out the steering wheel.

After a tour of the Tivoli Gardens, we were hungry and ready for a nice meal. Sarah knows the place to go, Jensens Bøfhus, where she will order her own meal; "French Fries and a small glass of Coca Cola"
Children are given a small toy box while waiting for the food and Sarah loves to examine the content, play and make drawings with the small crayons in the box.
Unfortunately, she mainly eats french fries, it takes quite an effort to make her eat meat especially when we are out of the house.
At home we can usually make her eat some meatballs or a spring roll or two if they are tasty.

Saturday, we had the big birthday party for Lerma with both Danish and Philippine friends having dinner and singing Kareoke (well, the Philippina's were singing, we slightly more reserved Danish guys were watching and commenting."
After dinner Lerma opened her big pile of presents containing both nice clothes and gift cards for her favorite shops.
